    Prince of Tennis

    Blah blah blah imported to Toonami etc etc etc. Yeah, I first heard of it when it was on Toonami jetstream and I thought I'd give it a shot just because I was lacking on animes to watch. I've found it to be rather well made while still trying to incorporate the base idea of tennis into it. Yes most of the moves that they show are overdone and exaggerated, but what anime doesn't do that? Overall I thought it was alright and it's about a 7.5/10

    I'm almost through the series and I think it's pretty good. Thoughts?

      semi decent story line even though ive seen few episodes, but i just cant enjoy watching an anime series thats about tennis

              I like it,mostly because im a tennis junkie but the animation and such is up to par.

                  What's the deal with everyone flipping out about animation and visuals and stuff? I mean sure, it's really nice to have good stuff to look at in a series, but I would hardly qualify that as something that "makes or breaks" the series. I've seen plenty of series with different looks than most, almost all of which had excellent character development and storylines; which as we all know, ARE things that make or break a series.

                      It's actually one of the very few anime left on Cartoon Network I can stand watching. I just find the ways the characters "attack" each other to be highly amusing for some reason. It might lead me to consider checking out the manga series.

                          It's done one good thing for me. I started playing Tennis a lot.

                              It's actually quite interesting if you play tennis (particularly if you're experienced enough to understand the strategies incorporated into the show).

                              Although it isn't a complete breakthrough, I enjoy watching it (but not the dubbed; most dubs are garbage imo).

                                  prince of tennis is a pretty good anime, it has a good storyline, but some of the shots and moves are just ridiculous. I remember in one episode in the OVA i think it was, it might have been one of the later episodes in the series that one of the players could be in two places at the same time cause he was sad cause his doubles player oishi couldnt play, so supposedly he was "moving so fast it looked like there was two of him." pretty long series tho 178 episodes and like 20+ OVA's ive seen 178 eps and like 10 ova's so far.

                                      Not something i will buy on dvd if they ever come out with it...

                                          Though the shots are over exaggerated, like everything else is lol, the show is cool.

                                              i love this show... unfortunately i fell out of sync with the toonami jetstream shows so i missed like 3 episodes so now i dont even watch any more... i just buy the manga... they are pretty good though...

                                              in fact... its my favorite series *prolly just cuz i play tennis* and im guessing it shall remain my favorite series until they release a DDR/ITG manga

                                                      I thought it was pretty good. It kept my attention for about 70 episodes. I'd give it probably an 8/10.
