    World of Dreams slightly offsync?

    I'm song-whoring World of Dreams for the tournament, and being the total nerd I am, I'm recording each result.

    I've noticed that out of my 98 attempts so far, 9 of them all failed on the same note, 30.4% into the song (Aka on the 322nd note)... (I'm using autofail to kick me out whenever I get a non-perfect, by the way).

    Thing is, there is nothing special about this note. It's not a 16th, or a weird pattern or anything. It's just like the notes before it.

    What's up with this? My guesses are it's SLIGHTLY offsync for some reason... or for some reason my focus always breaks there or something.

    Discuss, 'cause seeing 30.4% so much is annoying XD

    It's probably just one frame off from how the notes of the stream are before it. It's not really offsync, but each note is rounded to the nearest stream, so a stream can be da-da--da-da--da-da, or da-da-da-da-da--da, on different bpms, which is usually really hard to notice, but it can be true. I'll go try to check this note out to be sure now though.

      I'm not sure I understand this frame concept. >.<;;

        Well, it doesn't seem offsync to me, and basically what you need to know about frames is FFR runs at 30 frames per second, and every note in every song is rounded to the nearest frame. So, even in an onsync stream of notes, some will be more frames apart than others, which is the only thing I really see that's going on at the 332nd note of World of Dreams.

          So basically, every note is on-sync, within ±0.033~ of a second?
          Makes a lot more sense, thanks =)

              Err, ±0.0167~... the total "frame-snap" effect would be 0.033~ between frames, so each note could only be a maximum of (0.033~/2) off, due to the way that it could snap to one of the two frames around it.

                Re: World of Dreams slightly offsync?

                good example is in My When Clones I Am Out Many... there are 2 sections with 3 28 8th jumps in a row... in one of them, the 3rd 8th jump is 1 frame later than it should be. this caused me to get goods on it a few times in a row, until i realized what the issue was and hit it late.
