Canon in D Flat (Sheet Music)

Finale Notepad doesn't generate image formats for their sheet music, so here's a screenshot.

During the marching season, our football team was getting their asses handed to them, so we eventually started to drift away from what was going on on the field. Kenny, Michael and Jared formed a bit of a trio and sang something similar to the music written.

I downloaded Finale recently, and I must say, it's easy and fun. Beats the hell out of writing it by hand.........

Don't let the title mislead you; I was originally going to make it a trio, but I decided to add more parts in there. It sucks that Finale doesn't allow you to change the title after you've given the music a name = /. Oh well.

You might have to be a bit of a music-reading guru to read this: Not only is it a bit bunched up in some areas (Which I plan to fix), but it's in Bass Clef. If any of you guys need help reading this, simply say so.

edit: Damnit, Imageshack shrank it down a tad. It still should be legible, though.

I make songs with that too. The fact that you can't Make it into sounds is bad.

The most recent edition of that has a synthesizer play through the music for you. It has its valleys and dips (Example, when you select a Chorus part, it plays through with the piano instead.), but it's decent.

I'm actually making an ensemble for a longer version of Canon in D Flat.

While I'm making a post, can anyone explain why Imageshack now shrinks down images when they're large in dimensions?

Can you convert it to treble (or alto, since that's closer to bass than treble) so I can play it out for myself?

And, if I remember right, Imageshack only resizes when the filesize is over 1 mb or so. Nothing to do with the res of the image.

I need to convert my bmp's to tiff's then.

I'll try to convert it tommorow; I'm at my mom's right now.

wow, bass clef with 5 flats, interesting

on cello the highest note there would be in third position

i think you could probably do better if you just took the time to listen to a decent recording and make ur sheet music off of that :]

but good job anyways. this would make a good piano/harp practice piece

Re: Canon in D Flat (Sheet Music)

I was thinking about downloading some music-making software, and this is about the first step to making music.

And there are 12 major scales for most wind and percussion instruments. I kinda had to write this by ear, and it seemed that (I think it's) D Flat scale worked best.

Lemme go check what scale it is.

I never thought of making pictures for the sheets of music made with Finale Notepad. That was a good idea.

well thats weird, considering the song is in the key of D

I have no idea how it sounds in D flat

but you still did a great job

Well, what my friends sang was in D flat, so I wrote it in D Flat.

Does it really matter what key it's in, anyway?

By the way, I made the full-blown ensemble piece, but it's four pages long, has 4 parts, and I really don't feel like going through the trouble to get it here. Just PM me if you seriously want the .MUS file.
