this post aint exactly a discussion topic, but i just thought i'd give my own opinions on some titse
yeah, this weekend i picked up some titles that are a little old, but are actually quite decent games, and they were only like 5 bucks each. if you were interested the titles i got were:
Midway Arcade Treasures
Second Sight
007 Everything or Nothing
(all gamecube titles)
im pretty sure a good chunk of you have played Everything or Nothing, which is a decent game, so im not gunna talk about it. One game that suprised me was Second Sight. Now if you played Psi Ops, then this will be familiar, but more times i was finding this game was reminding me of Geist, which was also kick ass. i recommend getting Second Sight. in short, it's more of the thinking man's Psi Ops
the gem of this though, without a doubt is Midway Arcade Treasures which has 20 old arcade games, which if you are like me, you'll love, though there are like one or two that kinda suck. also, these games WILL kick your ass, considering they are the old school kind of arcade games which kept going until your impending doom, so they are gunna be hard. i recommend getting this one above all, and no, i wont forget to tell you the titles this package contains the following, along with my personal opinions on them
Defender (kicks ass)
Defender II (kicks more ass)
Blaster (ehh, old atari 1st person space shooter)
720 (i dont like it)
Marble Madness (ok)
Spy Hunter (classic, hard but fun)
Rampage (fun, but better if you have friends)
Joust (one of the best games ever)
Joust II (wtf)
Root Beer Tapper (an aqcuired taste)
Paperboy (ok)
KLAX (i dont like it myself)
SPLAT (fun)
Robotron: 2084 (one of the best games in the package)
Smash TV (my absolute favorite, this game is awesome, but WILL kick your ass)
Satan's Hollow (one of the two bad games in here)
TOOBIN' (the second of the crap games
Gauntlet (basically, old school xmen legends with ghosts!)
Road Blaster (in a nutshell, 3d spy hunter)
Vindicators (controls are kinda awkward)
Rampart (uhh, fun, but not my bag)
Super Sprint (fun top-down racing game)
