    A Few Old Poems :3

Just some stuff that I had in my old poetry journal-ish thing :3 I know they're not all great or anything, but I'm a little fond of a couple of them~ Some of them might seem a little "omg, I'm emo", but not all are

The "Originally posted by" are the titles :3

Lines throughout the Heavens, like spiderwebs, intricate,
Reflecting life, as the stars in a boundless ocean,
Black, where free from restraint, existence is defined,
Defined by a freedom no longer known to a world of ties.

Lines throughout the Heavens, like dreams, without cause,
Where thought is a virtue, and direction is not reason,
Limitless, where forever cannot restrict the slightest whim,
Unable to be measured, where cynicity gives way to näiveté.

Lines throughout the Heavens, like a neverending stream,
Forever flowing, and ever changing, yet always seems the same,
To trace all time, and find no lines, then rest and read the sky,
Our life as lines, we try to find, destined to never realize we are.

    In a broken body,
Can you reflect an inner peace?
    Could you live without it?
    In a broken mirror,
    Can you find your reflection?
    Could you live without one?
    In a grey world,
    Can you find inspiration?
    Could you live without any?
    Under water,
    Will you catch your breath?
    Would you let it go?
    Under the shadows,
Will you be able to stay alight?
Would you become a lost soul?
    Under a black sky,
    Will you be content?
    Would you cry until collapsing?
    Away from everyone,
    Maybe you could stay yourself?
    You might just disappear.
    Away from the light,
    Maybe you'd hold on?
    You can't hold on forever.
    Away from yourself,
    Maybe you're still there?
    No, you can't be.

Far from reality, on the shore she shares with the memories that she no longer aknowledges as her own.
Aether pulls at the edges of what she believes is the small universe made just for her, her alone.
Staring deep into the space beneath the surface, faces that she won't call her own, still alive.
She feels no remorse, no sadness, no emptiness, she feels lost, it doesn't matter, to her.
Distant, the sun that never sets, the source of the crimson light, a light her own.
Another, away from her, shapless, the crimson stains her memory of a life apart.
She does not have fear, she runs, far, each grain shifting, finally, falling.
A moon, as red as her sun, it presses against her breath, she still runs.
Suddenly she stops, the edges still fade, tear away, her continuity.
Secrets, secrets, these things are not hers, yet, they are here.
Fading, the same, there is no movement, a life, nothing.
Sitting on the shore, still aether pulls, tears, why.
Lies, reality, eternity, nothing, ever, always.
Thoughts, they are not hers, anothers.
    She falls, everything pulls, in.
    Absolute, nothing, nothing.
    Finally, alone, alone.
    Darkness again.
    Then light.
    Run.

Just like the whispers in the night,
A warm Autumn night, walking alone.
Aimless with the moon and stars ahead,
The wind, playing a delicate symphony.
Forward, on into the night, into the wind.
Fallen leaves, a path, a lost road to the night~

    Aki no Tsuki
    The atmosphere's gentle embrace, surrounding,
Lost in a world of stars and endless lullaby.
Breathless, as the Autumn takes you away,
Soaring, through the warm air, on rays of moonlight.
Catching the whispers of the night, a story,
The night tells its story of neverending life~

    Aki no Tsuki
    Falling, falling through the sky,
Cradled by stars, the moonlight above and below you.
Do you think the night will bring you to the dawn?
Caught in twilight, the night, its inner light,
Then walking again, walking in the night, whispers,
Whispers in the warm Autumn breeze, Aki no Tsuki.

I can't see the future here.
    Only one day. Nostalgia?
One day stretching on into eternity.

    Nothing can happen here.
    Action melts into thought.
    Some bleed, but none die.
    It doesn't matter, not today.
    Not tomorrow either, nonexistance.

    Those lost here,
    They're just confused.
    Walking in a neverending circle.
They'll be free, though not until,
    Tomorrow.

No matter how straight the line,
We'll end up where we began.
    We don't ever really leave.
The sky won't even change for us,
    Imperfect in its perfection.

Slowly, we'll crumble, but we won't escape.
    At this point, refrain, continue.
    We walk, but never move.
Time moves, but never to a tomorrow.
    Tomorrow does not exist.

Rest in Peace Sam, I didn't know you well, but you will be missed.

    An empty playground,
    Where children don't stay.
    A place people mourn,
    Where the children did play.
    The children were lost,
    They were all swept away.
    Their smiles are missing,
    Their laughter is too.
    And now there is mourning,
    How come no one knew?
    So now all these people,
    They don't realize.
    The children they're mourning,
    Are their very own lives.
    They don't know they're lost,
    The can't see the lies.
    So they continue to mourn,
    These lost children, their lives.

    Remember the clouds,
    On that cool Autumn day.
    Remember how you felt?
    That sense of freedom,
That only you and I share?
I want to remember days like those.
When, even out in the pouring rain,
We can smile and tell eachother
    "I love you."
I want there to be an eternity,
    an eternity of those days.
When the feeling of the wind,
Just the thought of it is enough
    To make us smile.
    Sharing a gentle sunset together,
Just watching the sun melt into the earth.
    My breath, and yours, life.
Just, being, and being with you.
The beating of your heart, your beauty,
I could become lost in it.
Just look at the sky, I'm there,
and I can see you too, and I smile.
We can meet eachother here, always,
    no matter how far apart.
Remember? Remember how much I love you?
    Just, remember the clouds.

    Resisting inevitable serenity;
    Flames over the calm water.
    I can see these flames,
    Though others cannot.
    Through the obscure näiveté,
I can walk through these flames.
All Earth, Heaven, and Hades ...
    Resisting inevitable serenity;
    Flames over the calm water.
    Our existence as water,
    Defying the laws of logic.
    When the flames die,
    We are left in darkness.
    Living above, below, and in us;
    The everlasting flames.
    Resisting inevitable serenity;
    Flames over the calm water.

    I have no regrets,
    My love is mine again.
I will find another, I know,
And this one I won't lose.
I'll let this song write itself,
My heart can be the poet.
    I have the world's time,
And I refuse to waste it.
My voice may be drowned in this sea,
But I will not go unheard.
While this life is mine, I'll live it,
For me, and for those I love.

This poem was written one night after drinking 6 Starbucks DoubleShot Espressos.

    Shining in the velvet night,
I gaze upon my final sight.
    Looking now, into your eyes,
Time has stopped, and I realize,
How much this life has meant to me,
Beautiful now, as it should be.
In my last moments, so hard I try,
To relive all the days gone by.
Forever, held safe in my memories,
Together, just as whispers in a breeze.
Holding you close, in my arms,
Safe from all the worldy harms.
I wish you could stay with me, in my dream,
But you must follow your life's stream.
Lost from you, it seems, forevermore,
I lie in peace on my dream's shore.
In this place our lives go on,
    Believing you were never gone.
    Finaly, at rest I sleep,
And with me, all my memories keep.

Written shortly after I woke up from a dream.

When I thought I had found perfection,
I had only found a new reflection.
Good enough for me, I smile,
knowing I can rest, I am safe.
In my dreams I run to an oasis.

    When silence was golden,
It was then I found my voice.
Good enough for me, I pray,
Knowing that I will be heard.
In my dreams I run to the morning.

When I knew that I was lost,
I found another, only for a moment though.
Good enough for me, I lay down and sleep,
Knowing I will wake to a new tomorrow.
In my dreams I run ... to you.

The last one was really good IMO. It had a rhyming scheme and the point was put across well. The others were made with good inspiration but no real rhyming scheme. Overall good poems especially the last. Keep 'em coming.

When the game isn't fun for you anymore, take a break. It's not a job, nobody here is professional and getting paid to play and force themselves to constantly improve... it's a game.

Thanks for the comments~ I really try to avoid rhyme scheme in my poetry for the most part, unless it just works out without being forced :3
