What is a good (free!) program for editing music?

First off, don't give me any google s***! If you're going to just give me a link to google, don't post! Thanks

Anyway what are some good, free programs for editing music? I have some songs I want to cut off about 2 seconds from the end of the song. Why only 2 seconds you say? For Stepmania, I need to cut one song from 2:30 to 2:28. I wouldn't mind if the editor had a few other things I could do with it, but that is all I need as of now. Oh, and it can't be complicated to work with.

I asked this in Chit Chat, but nobody told me... Please help me.

    Thanks,
    SulferDragon~

Blaaarg!... I downloaded it, but I can't figure out how to shorten my music. I tried looking at the Faq and tutorial, but I couldn't find out how...

Highlight what you want to delete. Push delete. Have tea.

Okay, I got it! Whoot, thanks! I cut my file from 2:30 to 2:29. I downloaded Lame too, and I didn't have a problem with that at least.

            Thanks muchly,
