    On Switching to Flatfoot

So, I'm switching to flatfoot. I find that I hit the down arrow with my right heel alright, but I have trouble hitting it with my left heel. It's probably just because my right foot is the dominant foot.

I'm going to practice until I get it right, but does anyone have any tips to train yourself to use your heel instead of your toe? I'd greatly appreciate it.

EDIT: BTW I bar rape 95% of the time if that makes any difference

I'm not too entirely sure on what's different between flat foot and the other styles, due to my being a Good newb. I can almost A Max Unlimited, and AA Rythm n' Police.

I know that when I do RnP, I don't bar rape, and I'm constantly crossing my feet over, (Right foot hits right arrow, then left foot hits down, then right hits left without my left foot moving at all). Would that be considered flat-foot or something else? :s Excuse my lack of knowledge.

      This is flatfoot:

      This is not:

And bar raping is OKAY, unless you do some really easy song, many good players ue the bar, I dont see how its possible for iamchris4life to do some of the stuff he does with no bar.
One person the is amazing with no bar would be pickles.

I don't think I need to "switch" to flatfoot, simply because my feet automatically make me play flatfoot when the song gets too fast to do with toes ><

            I play both :/

Kinda depends on the song though. Sometimes I use both for different parts of a song.

Most of the songs I play though I prance on the balls ov my feet. Also, I've noticed I tend to go flat footed when I'm knackerd lol.

Most people find that flat footing conserves your energy more.

I'm special though, and can move faster and conserve stamina more playing on toes. I only use flatfoot on slow **** that I want to PA because I can hear my footsteps a lot better.

Seeing that I still haven't learnt crossovers lol I usually have to use the balls of my feet as I find I can double step a lot quicker that way.

Your right though tibs I sometimes start flat footed on slow starting songs so I can store energy for when their song picks and I get on my toes.

Well I think I've figured it out. I got to play DDR on at an arcade yesterday and I found on faster stuff I would hit the down arrow with my heel just by stepping partially on the bracket. I think my problem on my CF is that I don't have the brackets to guide by.
