    Your Favorite Metal Band

    Don't know if this has been done but here i go.
    One rule though with this: The band that you pick has to be one that is not normally played on the radio. I don't consider something truly metal if it's constantly played on the radio. You can also add a link to a music vid of you're fav metal band.

    My fav is Dimmu Borgir.

    The music vid is a lot shorter than the actual song but thats ok it's still a great song/vid.

      Stupid rule really. Metal is metal, it does not matter how it gets played, it's metal.

      Anyway, I have too many bands to choose from, my current favourite is Axamenta, but my overall favourite is Pain of Salvation.

          the only reason i said that was becuase the 'metal' that gets played on the radio sounds way too cookie cutter to me. just my own opinion.

              Yes, but your opinion shouldn't dictate what others can and cannot like.

              Someone can like nu-metal and a nu-metal band could be their favourite metal group, nothing you can do about it.

                          That's different though. If your favourite band is country then of course you won't say that, you'd say your favourite metal band.

                          All I'm saying is that it can be any type of metal, can it not?

                          Also, Icyturtle: Nirvana are not metal in any shape or form, in fact they pretty much made the grunge music genre mainstream.
