I thought I'd bring this album to everyone's attention purely because of the unique concept they have tried to do with it.
The album is by Beyond Twilight, a progressive metal band. This is their 3rd album (I believe) and is their attempt at making a concept album. The album has 43 "songs" and the entire album lasts 37.5 minutes.
The idea is that you listen to it all the way through and yes, it is a good album. But after that you are supposed to never listen to it in that order again, you have to put your cd player / ipod / music player on shuffle. The idea then is that every song is seamless and fits together, no matter which order you play them in.
I've listened to the album about 7-8 times and only for the last 3 or so times have I shuffled it all, but I must admit it does work, it's an interesting concept and I can't think of any other band who has attempted this. The music is also very catchy, melodic at times, but mainly catchy metal with keyboards too.
I recommend it.
