    Songs Don't Load

    When I select a song, the loading circle that shows up just automatically displays "100%" and then puts me into the game. The song information will show up at the bottom right, but Ready! and the background won't show up, the song won't start playing, and no arrows will come. From there, either it keeps this screen up and forces me to fail the song to get out, or it will just push me out to the score sheet. For some songs, I can just hit the try again button after about five seconds and it'll play the song and the stepfile normally. Other times, it doesn't. When I clear my cache, it will have this problem with different songs, and some songs that I couldn't load will be able to play.

    How do I fix it so I don't have to clear my cache every time a song doesn't load, and I don't get zeroes and negatives on my rank? I'm using Firefox and XP, if that helps.

      from my experience, half of the time it's you-- especially because you're using firefox, which loves to boot you out of songs the first time you load them after clearing your cache (for reasons due to its method of actually loading the songs)-- and the other half the time, the songs won't load because the ffr server is either down or on the fritz. i've never had such a catastrophic problem with loading songs, though, just stepfiles here and there that decided to be problematic.

      to fix it? i 'unno. maybe stop clearing your cache so much... once a song loads completely, there shouldn't be any problem on your end with it loading again. maybe it has something to do with a firewall? i'd check your settings to make sure that ffr is able to transfer all of the data that is has to, when it needs to.

      that seems to be one of the only other logical explanations for your problem. :/ hopefully someone can come up with a better answer than that.

          I don't think it has to do with firefox because that's all I use and it's more reliable than anything else. Are you using safari because I know that has problems exactly like the ones you're saying. That's why I have ~4400 games played and only 500mil points.

              use IE. it is by far the most stable browser for FFR. there is no way to fix your issue besides clearing your cache and reloading the song.
