Overall it's pretty cool, but the bass isn't as defined as I think it should be... not to mention the song doesn't really go anywhere. It'd make great menu music, but then again I could just loop the first 30 seconds and get the same effect.

All those things you said, about the song not going anywhere and being good background music, are very true. But indeed...tis DnB. The only purpose is to give people somehing to chill to. Thanks for paying interest.

I'm sorry, but it's hard not to take offense to a comment like that. Instead of talking about the song itself, you shifted your criticism to me as a person and I don't appreciate that.
I think I need to clarify. I always make music for myself, first and foremost. When I said "I only wanted to give people something to chill to" I meant I hoped that others might also enjoy what I view as a 'chill out' music. This song is out of style for my usual compositions, and I admit that there is nothing particularly artistic and innovative about it. You're misinterpret my intent. I'm only trying to share a feeling...not a revolutionary idea.
Gah, I just can't seem to win with this community. I've been flamed left and right on this site for practically anything I post. I think I need to go away for awhile.

Sleepless dragon's comment was the match that lit the fuse of many grievances I've held over different people in these forums on seperate occasions. I still consider SD's comment a flame since it was directed to me and not the song. It may appear that i'm hyper-sensitive to criticism, but at the same time, I'm losing motivation to keep sharing my stuff when I think i've done something good and other people don't. Well, I suppose I should leave some musical comments as well.
I thought that the piece was well done, though repetitive. The jazzy mood was refreshing, but I did feel a general lack of direction. Also, you may want to look into massaging up the bass, because I thought it was a bit empty. The hats weren't quite as defined as I was expected, but that may be due to a personal taste conflict. I wouldn't classify this as jungle per say, and there is nothing wrong with that.
On another note, I personally hate it when people spell my name wrong.

I actually really enjoyed this.
Although long and a tad repetitive, I still enjoyed the track enough to not care very much about the repetitiveness.Comment
