      Video games is a general category. Computer games is more specific.

                          Well, if you ask me:

                          Platform = PC, Xbox, NES, Game Boy, etc.
                          Format = Cartridge, SD Card, Blu-Ray, DVD, etc.
                          Genre = RPG, Action, Driving, Simulation, Sports, Adventure, etc.
                          Subgenre = Shooter, Fighter, Flight, Racing, Platformer, Real-Time, etc.

                          And so on and so on.
