So windows has decided to take over my Mp3 player.

My MP3 player is acting weird. Before, I could just drag songs onto my player through My Computer without having to go through Windows Media Player. I plugged it in earlier today and now it shows up in My Computer but I can't drag ANYTHING on it. However, I can put songs on it through Windows Media Player.

    Help?!?!

Use copy + paste instead of "import song" "export song" and that might help. Let me know if u already use copy and paste so i can think of sumtihn else

Nope, copying and pasting doesn't help either.

All I get is that the file or directory cannot be created.

(also, WMP converts all my nice MP3's into Crappy WMA's )

I think I know the source of your problem:

Knowing what kind would help diagnose a lot, but I suggest using WinAmp to put things on your mp3 player. In the playlist window or the media library window you can right click a song and hit "Send to media device" or whatever. I like it because it sorts all of your music as it encodes it to the player.

            It's a philips 1333/37.

            My regular thumbdrive works though.

I had an ipod and it broke. I wouldn't be having this problem if it didn't.
