i need some help with picking a metal pad

I plan to get DDR Extreme(1) with a metal pad, but before i spend that much money on a metal pad, i needs to know...besides cobalt flux, what are some good metal pads?

PS: it needs to range around from $100-$500. I only have $500.

No way you're going to get a quality metal pad for cheap, my only two recommendations are either RedOctane's Afterburner or the infamous Cobalt Flux. I've have bad experiences with cheaper metal pads... the arrows cracked, the metal bars they come with BEND, and the sensors wear out really quickly, about the same rate as third party mad catz pads do...

I'd say go with the Cobalt Flux and Arcade style mod, as I've heard stories of the Afterburner cracking or sensors failing to work as well.

The cobalt flux is proven to work for your lifetime. They even tested it by running it over with a S.U.V and it still worked.

If you're going to drop up to 500 bucks on a metal pad, just go ahead and get the Cobalt Flux.

the only thing bad about the CF is that you have to constantly clean the sensors, not knowing this from experiance its just what I have herd alot from people that have a CF. I bought a nexen metal pad and that is only 240 bucks (I bought it on sale for 180 =D) the feel of the pad is really good and the sensors are great, i got better grades then i did with my tx 6000 pad. id highly recomend getting a nexen pad, just go to www.mymybox.com
