Wouldn't it be nice to have a customizable button in the FFR main screen? (Like the arcade, dance, and rock buttons.) My idea is to put in one button that the user can customize with his/her favorite songs. This way, people wouldn't have to keep shuffling around the different genres for the song they want to play! (Ok, maybe thats a little lazy, but wouldn't it be nice?)

Maybe hotkeying the Genres with 1-9 on the keyboard would be a good idea too for faster access.One day there will be a really cool sig here. But not right now.

Hmmm, yes I found on my somewhat crappy machine it takes a while, but for those that have menu problems, just change the quality to pretty crappy, and it should go faster.
But if it's not your computers fault, then just stop being lazy...or something....Comment

I haven't found it a huge problem. I think his first priority in that department should be getting a 'Replay Song' feature added on the score screen.

How about on the main screen (before you start a song) there are buttons that link to the past 5 songs you've played (not counting ones you've accessed from that list)?Comment

I think that Hip Hop, Funk, Rock, and Misc should all just be Misc. I mean, I know that's a lot of merging, but each of the genres in there do have some vague similarities, and there aren't a whole lot of songs in any of them.
Secret and Purchased should be merged. Every "secret" song should first be unlocked by doing something (i.e. FC certain song, get certain score, etc.), and then purchased at the shop. That means we'd already have 7 "Secret songs" (not counting the one with the triples)
Dance and Arcade are big enough on their own.
Maybe keep classic seperate since those ones are real hard... or make them secret
That's 4 or 5 genres... of course all that merging might be weird. In that case, we can just wait for poor Synthlight to make a quick-nav like the in the old one. I see a good space on that line where the Q button is.Comment
