Wow, nice job fixing your 360. This reminds me of how I have to wipe the inside of my gamecube, then sit on it, then keep my foot on it or the disc cover won't stay fully shut or something and it won't read >.<

Call me lucky but I've never had a console break on me.

      Ever.

My Genesis used to spontaneously turn off unless I kept it angled backwards. Really weird.

        Congrats on the fix.

Same here. I can still plug in my NES and Genesis and they'll work perfectly.

Shox, Know any way of fixing a 360 if it has a never ending red flashing light when you try to turn it on? I tried looking into this a little while ago, after my roommate pretty much broke mine. My friend and I were guessing that somehow he frag'd the harddrive since when we tested the power supply everything was getting the right amout of power. I really think I should call microshaft about this, unless anyone knows anything about something like this.

            help please

That sounds like you had some kind of problem with the way the AC adaptor cord was plugged into the back of your Genesis and the angling held the wire correctly.

                    Just saw this:

There's a video on it where the guy squeezes his 360 to get it working again.

The only system I've owned that has broke was my NES.

                          My SNES works perfectly.

My Gamecube's top won't even close and stay down. I have to put something on it. The open button gets jammed in there. I can get it unstuck by hitting it a few times, but then it'll just get stuck again when I press it down to open it again, so it isn't worth the trouble. I just put another game's box on top of it or a controller.

My ps2 is starting to go through the dying phase where I have to put it upside down in order for it to read some games because the laser is getting weak. =\

I've never heard of hardware shutting down because it's not warm enough. Hardware has a fan to keep it cool and not overheating, putting a T-Shirt in the fan will just make your XBOX360 not work in the future and melt everything inside. I accidently left my PS2 against the TV and the fan couldn't suck in enough air and eventually smoked up leaving an awefull stench.

You should really call the helpdesk for help if it messes up again.

Yeah, it is the A/V cable... except that it isn't. After emailing the 360 support they told me to look into the cables and if I had an extra set to switch 'em out. Well, I got my friends 360 and we switched everything one at a time. The only thing that doesn't work is my console So, now i need to find a way to fix that since my A/V cables work fine, my power cable works fine, and my hdd still has everything working fine on it. For now, atleast I can play my stuff on his 360 whenever I get a chance, but when I go back to school its going to suck. Even worse, now I can't play TH8 which I just got for christmas
