    The Simpsons Movie

So is anyone else really psyched about the new Simpsons movie coming out (scheduled to release "worldwide" on July 27, 2007)? State your opinion!

You make a cartoon for 17 years and just NOW decide to make a movie from it?

    Not excited at all.

It may be interesting or it may be a waste of time, hard to tell. Isn't there a Futurama movie coming out, or does anyone know if they are making more episodes because I really like that show.

I haven't heard anything about more episodes of Futurama coming out. That show has been off the air long enough that they probably won't bring it back; however I will keep my ears open because that show is pretty cool.

          This man speaks the truth.

I used to be really into Simpsons. About 4 years ago, I stopped caring completely.

The show had been on the decline for quite some time. To be honest, they should have gone out on top about 10 years ago rather than go on and on and on until no one cares anymore. The worst part is that if they had made this movie somewhere around 4th or 5th season, it would have been awesome on unholy levels, but as it stands, it's probably only going to be mediocre.

ps keep the Futurama stuff out of here. It's hardly connected to the Simpsons at all. And by the way, yes, there are new episodes in production to be aired on Comedy Central sometime in the future. I have heard nothing of a Futurama movie, though.

Alright, fair enough. Thanks for the info.

I would have to agree that The Simpsons has declined greatly over the years. If the movie does reflect upon how the show has been made recently, then yeah, it won't do as well compared to as if it were made back in the day.

This movie will flop on a whole new level. I've watched The Simpsons my entire life and can honestly say it's my favourite show, but to make a movie out of it is just stupid. I think they're just milking the franchise to get as much money out of it as they can before the whole series dies down, which I'm guesstimating would be the twentieth season.

              Boo-urns.

                I was saying boo-urns...

/agreed, the show's gone down the drain and I can't see it recovering.

Wasn't it said a couple years back that once they made a movie they'd end the show?
