Hot dang, they killed Edison? =[ Forget it, I don't even want to watch the American versions of The Grudge, I'll stick to the Japanese version.

Americans really are horrible at creating horror films, there are very few horror films that are actually scary, and they're worsening as time goes on. I didn't watch the American version for The Grudge 1 and 2 [was only thinking of watching the second because Edison was in it] but I'm guessing they probably butchered it.

Sam Raimi directed The Grudge, so it actually turned out pretty good.

For one, it made a whole lot more sense than Juon: The Grudge.

i loved the Japanese version. it was actually scary. Yea and i only watched because of Edison. But then..he died. so i fell asleep through the rest of the movie.

Anyway, I didn't like The Grudge. It seemed to be on the curtails of The Ring, like it was counting on the Japanese remake money making magic to rub off on it.

I saw the original Japanese version of The Grudge as well. It was ok, but neither version is anything worth writing home about in my opinion.

Since when do executive producers ever do anything though? I honestly can't recall that film having the feel of a Sam Raimi film at all.

Well, there was Ted Raimi. It was he who gave me the idea that Sam was the director. That's about all I can think of, though.

Edison Chen was beaten up about a month ago by some random guy on a street. Why? Because Edison Chen is a ****y idiot. rofl.

I'm seeing this next weekend, so far it doesn't look too good though. The fact that he's in it doesn't appeal to me either. Sure he's good looking, but he's also a horrible actor.

Ju-On 2 was BY FAR THE BEST OUT OF ANY JU-ON SERIES!
It was much scarier, much more brutal then the first one!

The camera Techniques were interesting and the story and charachter developement was much better.

even though it's not the best the point of the japanese ones are not for story they are for how each charachter dies.

NOT TO MENTION THE JAPANESE ONE is MUCH MORE CREATIVE and Combines Elements from Rosemary's Baby with Japanese Ghosts!

Anyways i have yet to see the american Grudge 2 i plan to because of Edison. But anyways i know it's not going to be good but i'll see it just because i've seen the rest of the Ju-On series.

Anyways If you didn't know Ju-On was a Continuation Story of 2 TV version's of Ju-On he made which describes how the curse was born.

What they did was that they combined and Condensed the stories for American Viewers.

Thus the japanese Verison of Grudge is just a story about people dying in a Haunted House without much story to it.

The second one however has a story, and has much more charachter developement and connections. Though still not that great, it is definately much much better.

I thought it was ok.I've only seen edison chen in one other movie(initial-d the movie)so i didn't know he could speak english.i was like wtf? for like 5 minutes.
