    Help me find that Anime

It's almost midnight and I'm bored as hell. So here is a little challenge for all of you Anime fans. I'm looking for the name of an anime, because the opening (or ending) theme was incredibly good. So here are the hints:

-The general theme is about mech robots. To control the robot, you go in the ****pit situated in the head of the mech. With your arms and legs you grab handles. The robot imitates your every move.
-It used to play on YTV (For those who live in Canada)
-I remember one scene where a white mech was in an arena fighting against two or three other robots, a sword flew in the air and by the time it hit the ground, the white robot had eliminated all the other three.
-In another scene, some girl was falling in a huge crevass (sp?) and some other guy grew wings to save her.

Yeah sorry if it dosen't make sense... Maybe if you have more questions I can answer.

It could be a number of things really. Im thinking maybe it could be Eureka 7, but then again it almost sounds like some Gundam. I doubt its Big O and i really hope its not stupid freaking zoids, and since i dont remember seing any white mechs in evangelion (actually not mechs) or anything about an arena, its probably not that.

Im going to guess Eureka 7

It's not Eureka Seven, Evangelion, RahXephon, or Dual.

I looked at the list on YTV's website and it's none of those.

Not sure. I don't watch a lot of mech shows.

Oh, and is it the character who grows wings or the mech?

I haven't actually watched it, so I'm not sure how the mechs are piloted, but the only thing that seems to fit is The Vision of Escaflowne. One of the main mechs is white, but I doubt I'm right.

Somehow that rings a bell with some of the scenes that he described.

I saw it like two years ago so I don't really remember. That's my best bet for now.

Yes, that's what I came up with to, The Vision Of Escaflowne. And for the wings thing, i got this off of a character bio:

Van Slanzar de Fanel -....yada yada...Due to being half-human/half-Draconian, when he wishes to he can sprout wings which allow him to fly.

            That's one thing that fits.
But maybe these will help too:

And to tell you the truth this photo here gets my attention, I'm gonna have to see this movie.

I hope that's the show your looking for man. If it is, I was glad to be of help.

                    It is a serie.

From Wikipedia: The Vision of Escaflowne (Japanese: 天空のエスカフローネ;Tenkū no Esukafurōne or Escaflowne of the Heavens) is a 26-episode anime television series by Sunrise, directed by Kazuki Akane.

Series is good, might wanna avoid the movie though. It wasn't bad but... if you watch it, make sure it's after the series.

Yes, Series for sure with Escaflowne. I haven't seen the movie and based off what I've heard about it, I'm never watching it. It's hard to imagine 26 episodes crunched into a 2 hr movie.

Anyway, this is a good series, I hope you enjoy it.

It's not even based on the episodes at all.

They re-did the entire story and made it suck somehow.
