    If fishes were wishes

    Discuss the ramifications of a hypothetical world where every fish in the water had the power to grant its owner one wish,

    1) If the power of the wish was limited, for example, to personal changes; "I wish for improved hygiene," or "I wish for less fat," or

    2) If the power of the wish was unlimited.

    How would this precious resource be controlled? Would existence have any meaning if wishing could be used to arbitrarily correct mistakes and satisfy desires? Or would the opposite occur; could some party gain a monopoly over the fish-wish supply and dominate the rest of the planet through repeated wishing?

    What would happen when the fish die? Ramifications for the economy? The ecosystem?

          The fish and wish system, although unknown to many, has already been attempted and had failed in the past, not because fish domination syndrome, but ironically because the fish depression syndrome, a highly malicious syndrome that is lonesome-induced. The lack of population to own such a type of fish caused the fish to ... bluntly, go emo. These so called emo-fish created several problems in the ecosystem. Their own self-flagellation caused the population of the feeding species to decrease because of the lack of nutrients within the fish themselves.

          The problem was quickly attended to and thus the regular fish and wish you could wish but you can't system was implemented. This is the one you are familiar with although you probably aren't aware of the semantics.

                              now having a fish-wish system is pretty cool. I mean it's pandemonium. But that just brings me to a new question. What if the type of fish gave you a different type of wish? Say for example that a guppy only gave you a small wish, but a giant angler fish could give you a house or yacht.

                              The industry of fish-wish selling would skyrocket. Play the business. It'd be crazy! I've got to go fishing.

                                  I reckon the world would flock to a new language where fish and wish did not rhyme to end the madness of it all.

                                      Allowing people to make changes to themselves wouldn't work because they would ask to be the best at something and then someone else would ask to be the best at something and the person who asked before would now be second best.

                                      Also, everyone would be a fisherman and they would all wish to be the best fisherman in the world, the smart one would wish to be the best fish farmer in the world and harvest the wishes from them. But someone else would notice their success aswell, since they would not be able to wish anyone from stopping them. It would also **** up the economy hardcore.
