    Well I guess that's it for me..

    I just got a laptop and put away my PC.. Even though it has a good video card SM and FFR still are pretty much unplayable. I guess that means I have no choice but to stop playing

          because I'm going to be using this laptop for school and I really don't feel like having 2 pc's set up in my room. So sooner or later I'm going to have JUST the pc. I don't understand why it's pretty much unplayable even though I have my keyboard hooked up to it. I have 1 GB of RAM as compared to 512 on my PC. My video card is decent (256 mb ATI radeon x1400). The refreshrate on the laptop screen is only 60 Hz, do you think if I set up dual monitors and played on the flat panel that would help?

                      From what you described, your computer is more than capable of playing it. What kind of processor do you have, there is no way it doesn't have the proper instruction set to play the game, I mean, it'd have to be pre-pentium 2.

                          whats the processer?

                          I play FFR on both a 1.4ghz and a 1.7ghz p4.

                          Works ok on both.

                              Yeah dude, wtf? It should work properly, and also have you tried lowering the quality? my friends PC was terrible but when he switched to low detail it was pretty much playable
