    Sound Recorder

Back when I used to get very bored (around 2003) I messed around with sound recorder. You know, the most basic program ever that comes with windows where you can record your voice? Well I basically used it to record parts of songs, then spliced those songs together and messed around with them (speed/direction/distortion etc) to make it into a complete song.

At first I made an 8 song album lasting just under 60 minutes which I sold to a few people who liked it, but I'll make available online if anyone wants it. It'll cost £3.99 and I can send it to you wherever you live via an actual cd (includes cover art) which would cost whatever posting costs for me is, or free via UK.

but to make people want it I can provide a sample, but not from this album. I started a new album in 2005 that never got completed, it is now a bonus track on the old album and is the sample I provide for people.

    The sample is here:

(First to be able to name all 33 parts that make up this song I will give the album to for free)

If anyone is interested post replies, I'd be interested in knowing if it is any good in your opinion. I know the quality isn't perfect, but what do you expect from sound recorder, that's the whole point really.

    Anyhoo, comments, queries, posts?

So wait, you sold the ability to cut a up a few songs and put them together, with a few minor effects whose algorithms were pre-written? I listened to the sample and I personally found it very boring, albeit that might be due to the fact that I do things like this regularly and think nothing of it.

Yeah I sold quite a bit heh, people seemed to like it. Like I said, I did it three years ago, and I still feel it's an achievement using just sound recorder but aye if you don't like it that's fine. The song I used to give as a sample was #2 on the album, it was mainly Mike Patton stuff, like Faith No More, Mr Bungle, that sort of stuff.
