Read about this in Modified like a year ago.
The author of that article in Modified had some good points, mainly they were that it would boost the drifting world's popularity, but it would also bring in a lot more crappy drivers.
There should be a Pros and Cons list for the effects of this movie.
But I DO like drifting.

So I just watched the trailer. They made it look EXACTLY like NFSU2. I don't like that there's a more violent plot to it. I hate the idea of drafting behind a guy who's car is facing yours while the driver is shooting at you. That is bull****.
Then again, this IS the underground the movie's about, not professional drifting.
It would look alot better to me if there weren't any guns involved.

Its going to be horrible. You saw what happened after the fast the furious came out. Everyone put giant ass decals and stickers on their car and riced them out. Now we are going to get dudes in their EG6's and they are going to try and drift in a fwd car. That my friend is not a drift, its a powerslide. In a drift you speed up and a powerslide you lose speed.

Drifting isnt about speed.

Drifting is about staying up late on a school night.

Drifting is about drinking from the milk carton.

Drifting is about not holding the door open for others.

Drifting is about walking on the grass when there is a sign that clearly states "Don't Walk on the Grass."

Drifting is about riding bikes on Sidewalks where bikes are prohibited.

Drifting is about touching all the fruit at the grocery store with your dirty hands and then deciding you dont want any fruit.

Drifting is about taking a penny from the Take-A-Penny jar...but never leaving any pennies.

Drifting is about taking two newspapers from the Newspaper box when you only paid for one.

Drifting is about not saying "excuse me" after you burp.

Drifting is about pushing through a crowd of people without apologizing.

Drifting is about using one of those motorized carts at the grocery store when there is nothing wrong with your legs.

Drifting is about sipping from your Dad's Coke & Rum when he isnt looking.

That's what drifting is all about.
