    DDR Mario Mix- Anyone Recommend It?

    My friend and I are going to join money together to buy a game. Together we have $40 but when I trade in some of my old Gamecube games that I don't play anymore I will get about $30 from that so $40+$30 is $70 . I only have a Gamecube so I can't get a PS2 or XBOX DDR. Is DDR Mario Mix good, post any comments about the game here. Mond that my computer doesn't work and I am using my bro. laptop which he rarely let's me use. Or should I just get The Sims 2 for Gamecube and a $30 game? Thanks in advance

    Mario Mix is not so bad.
    Pad = Good
    Story = Horrible
    Songs = Good
    Steps = Easy
    I recommend you only buy it if you have little to none exp playing ddr, or this will be really boring.
    I got bored as soon as i won the hardest song, so yeah.

          I hear they're going to be reproduced. But, I really don't think it's worth it. From what I heard, it's way too easy. I'd probably be bored.

            Hmmm... I guess that I'm getting The Sims 2. I guess I'll have to wait 'till they make a solid DDR Brand for GC like DDR Ultramix, DDR Extreme, etc. Or get a PS2 or PS3. I wonder... if they do make a DDR game for the Revolution, how will you be able to hook up the dance pad? Maybe they'll stick it to the controller as an extension.

              Get a ps3 or revolution when they come out, chances are that they'll make a solid game for those systems

                    Re: DDR Mario Mix- Anyone Recommend It?

                    Good: If you are a Nintendo fan and played many a mario games in the past, then you will enjoy this game. There are several "old school" Mario songs on the game that have been remixed and sound ultra cool. Also there is an exclusive "mush mode" which NO other DDR game has. It turns some of the step file arrows into mario game enemies (i.e. goombas) that you have to step on, or bombs that you don't step on.

                    Bad: Unfortunately, it seems that many many many of the songs are of ridiculously easy difficulty (easy difficulty, hah!). Perfect step window is HUGE! They have 5 modes: Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard, and Super Hard.

                    Easy mode = baby crawling steps
                    Normal mode= beginner mode (on other DDR)
                    Hard mode = Light mode
                    Very Hard= Light/Standard mode
                    Super Hard= Standard (mostly) (Only about 1 song equals a real "Heavy mode" song, that being "Bowser's Castle, Super Hard mode w/mush mode"

                          I've got the simfiles for all the songs in Mario Mix. Only -one- song is a 9 footer, Bowser's Castle on superhard. (It's pretty jack and crossover-tastic, though.)

                              Some of these songs have potential for keyboard steps, really.
