    Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams

Just picked this up today. Gone are the clunky tank controls from the first two games, back is the gold system from the second game (and you can actually buy stuff!) and new to the series is a co-op mode and RPG elements, where you gain expierience points, not just Red Souls. The plot is kind of eh, filled with Hamlet references (LOL OPHELIA AND THE BAD GUY IS CLAUDIUS CLEVER CLEVER) and the way the story unfolds is pretty similar to the campfire scenes in Grandia II, which kind of irks me.

Outside of these few minor complaints, the gameplay is solid and the Genma bosses are pretty tough (literally, they take a while to kill), but the human bosses are pretty easy (magic attack/kill combox4 ftw).

All in all, I'm glad I picked it up. Anyone else have this game or likes the series?

I've only played the first game, which I did enjoy, but not enough to spark my interest in the series.

The first and second you can pass up; the controls, for the most part, make the game incredibly difficult to play well. The major bulk of the first game is supposed to be "issening" enemies, which is timing a counter-attack that automatically kills them. I still don't really know how to do that.

The third one, they fixed the controls and added time travel, and a very, very disgruntled Jean Reno. It's only twenty bucks now, I would highly reccomend picking it up.

Time travel? Timed attacks that automatically kill them? Sounds alot like PoP:TTT. That game was good, I'll check this one out.
