The ethics of C200 and C400.

Songs like MaxX Infinity (the version SakuraUnlimited submitted) and MaxX Fascination can be hard because of the radical BPM changes. Do you think using a C speed to get a good score on such a song is right? I know it can really detract from the meaning that BPM changes enhance (I would NEVER use a C speed for Composer, for instance.). I really don't use C speeds, but I experimented last night and found how it can really change the game experience.

A lot of people use them, it's harder without them on a lot of songs because of the BPM changes, it's your choice.

With a song with BPM changes that are enough to make the song harder, a score on it with no Cmod is more impressive than the same exact score with a Cmod. Otherwise, there's no comparison. There's no rule against playing with Cmods. Like Tps said, it's your choice.

Unless you play ITG, where using Cmods disqualifies you from ranking. Thus, I use Cmods in SM, but try not to in ITG. Regardless, it does make everything a lot easier.

I really try my hardest to play songs with neat timestops and tempo changes, say, Festival of Ghost 2, with an Xmod instead of a Cmod. Sometimes I forget/get lazy, though. I'd prefer to get my best scores with Xmods...but then I always try to aim them around 575 BPM anyway. :3

Where can you get C mods like C675 and stuff like that? I've seen some radical stuff, I've even seen a C1000! Where can I get those, or do I have to make it myself?
