So as alot of you know, I go to school in NYC and then come home on Thursday nights to spend my weekends with the awesome Whorli. She is kind enough to take me back Sunday nights.
The trip is like this, normally:
Thursday:
6:45pm... leave apartment
6:55pm... stop at deli to buy sausage egg and cheese on a roll with ketchup
7:00pm... catch crosstown L train to 8th ave
7:10pm... catch uptown A/C/E to 34th st Penn Station
7:29pm... leave on the NJ Transit express train to Trenton
8:50pm... get picked up by Whorli in Trenton
9:25pm... get home.
Sunday:
7:25pm... leave home
8:11pm... get on NJ Transit local to NYC
9:50pm... arrive at Penn Station
10:00pm... catch a cab back to my apartment
10:15pm... get to my apartment.
This is what happened because of the snow...
7:00pm... left home
8:12pm... got to Trenton 1 minute after my train left
9:11pm... boarded the next local to NYC
10:00pm... mechanical issue in Linden
11:00pm... unboard the train in Linden, stand in freezing cold and biting wind
11:05pm... Amtrak train flys by on middle track, spraying all of us with snow
11:06pm... the 10:11 train from Trenton arrives, already crowded, and our entire 9:11 train boards as well
11:45pm... train operators on the 2nd train finally figure out that they can't get around the ghetto broken down 9:11 train and start going back towards Trenton
11:55pm... ghetto retard conductor finally finds a switch off to an alternate track and we start heading forward again
1:03am... arrive Penn Station
1:08am... get to Taxi stand. 12th in line. No taxis.
1:12am... charm a freshman co-ed who is in front of me in line to let me share her cab, should it ever arrive.
1:20am... we finally get a cab. no thanks to the assholes who cut the line to stand 1 block in front of us, or the asshole waiting behind us who wouldn't shut up about how it was illegal for one of the cabbies to do something (didn't fully understand what... he was mumbling). Said ass also was trying to get a cabbie who only wanted to go to the Upper East Side to take him to Brooklyn, when a cabbie DIRECTLY behind him said he ONLY wanted to go to Brooklyn. Assholes response? "I think I'd rather mess with this guy." What a douche. He eventually did get into the can of the guy going to Brooklyn.
1:32am... FINALLY get home.
1:34am... start taking a much needed piss and get the "wth where are you?!?" phone call from Whorli.
Man... I HATE the snow. Had a similar issue last year, but it this was worse.
And I swear... there was a teenage asian girl on her cell phone THE ENTIRE 4+ hours we were on the trains. I heard her say more than once "Oh, you can't talk to me right now?" MAYBE YOU SHOULD STOP FUCKING CALLING EVERY DAMN PERSON YOU KNOW IN KOREA AND STFU FOR ONE MINUTE!
I hate people too.
