    Anyone Up For A Hotel?

I know this kind of branches off of the Katsucon (sp) thread...but I feel as though the suggestion is relevant, considering the dilemma most of us seem to be having.

Money isn't necc. an issue, but when you're going to an anime convention, I guess you expect to be splitting some of the cost.

Here's my suggestion: I'm willing to put up my share for a hotel room, however, I bet just like me, you're all trying to make that share as little as possible.

Is there anyone else out there open to the idea of an FFR shared hotel room? Obviously there can only be a certain amount of people in the room, but I have no problem bringing an air matress and hangingout on the floor. It's generally going to be a place to sleep only anyways...

Here's the plan. If you're going, and you're interested, post here with your name, and a way of contact, and lets see how many people we can get moving with this thing, prices are as follows:

Single room (with one bed): $129/night
Double room (with two beds): $139/night
    Jr. Suite: $159/night
    Deluxe Suite: $189/night
    Each additional person: $30/night

Depending upon how many people are willing to put up, and share space, will determine what kid of room we're going to be able to afford.

    Thanks again....

As for me, My name is Mindy (most really do just call me Skooter) and you can reach me at Evil_gummy_bear@hotmail.com or on my cell: 804-855-7635

    Thanks.

EDIT: I decided to add one more thing in here. I understand that a lot of people wander around Anime conventions with no place to sleep, and had no plans of renting a hotel room, or having anywhere to stay. I also understand that it's not my problem. Depending on how many people are in the room, leaves little room for exceptions, and besides, I don't like when people mooch. If you have someone coming into the room with you, and you are the only one paying please say so BEFOREHAND. No surprise guests. If that's the case, this will more than likely turn into one big cluster f&*$.

RE: Anyone Up For A Hotel?

You know, maybe my parents would accept traveling five hundred miles so I can go to an anime convention better than they would travelling five hundred miles so I can meet some people from a website. I'll see if I can't work a miracle.

      You should.

I'd help pay for a hotel if there was one that wasn't 100+ dollars a night. That's just outrageous.

Find a Roach hotel. We FFRers are cheap.

        Please stay on topic.

If you're implying that if you're able to come you will be able to pitch in, great. If not, please, post in the Katsucon thread Thanks.

Edit: Searching for other hotels at the current moment Mead. I actually lived in DC for quite some time

Alright, so I did a little research and I found the roach motel of your dreams A double bed room- for a whopping $65.00 a night. Split that four or five ways, and you're living it up like a true FFR-er. There ya go Mead. Not to mention, it's extremely close to the Omni, which the convention is being held at.

Go here: http://www.hotels.com/compareHotels....2&showMap=true for maps, and hotel information.

Edit: The first one (1- The Super 8) is the only one within reasonable walking distance of the convention. Everything else would require a ride on the metro. I'm not going to be making reservations until I'm sure of the people that are going, so respond ASAP.

Going once, going twice, sold in about a day in a half. If anyone wants to pitch in, for FFR rooms, speak now. I have to make reservations soon.

              Thanks
