This movie is great. Great actors and acting, great cinematography, great script and music (duh, it's Mel frikkin Brooks), and great...um....I forgot what I was gonna say next. But the acting! Oh man. Awesome acting.
However
This movie is not great. Why, I can't tell you. It's like....I laughed and laughed and laughed and was thoroughly entertained.....And then after the movie I thought back to how great it was and realized...It wasn't that good!? How the hell did I get that opinion!? I just had a fantastic time, and I think the movie isn't that great!?
I don't WHY the movie sucked. It's been driving me up the wall all day, because nothing about it sucked! Yet somehow....It did! I mean...Not suck. Just...Not be worth seeing again. I think I'm gonna go do some research. It's driving me mad because I cannot pinpoint a specific reason on why I'm not enthusiastic about it.
Look, if you haven't seen the original, just go ahead and see this. You'll have a jolly good time. If you have access to the original, you'll be fine not seeing this movie.
