    Doubles!

    So, after almost dying from exhaustion from Max 300 Heavy, I decided to try something different, and gave doubles a go.

    You single only players are missing out on a lot of the fun. Believe me.

    Not that great yet. I can handle 6-footers. Might try some 7's tomorrow.

          Doubles is pretty fun, once you get used to it. I'm able to clear anything and AA anything from Paranoia Survivor on down. LoM, PSMH, and PSMO still elude my AA capturing, unfortunately. In whatever case, there are actually very few things you need to learn that are new once you move from singles to doubles. The first is re-coordination, of course; your center is the middle of both pads rather than the center of the arrows. This takes time to get used to...Along with learning to read new jump patterns as well as "walks." These would be, say, LDR on the left pad, flowing into LUR on the right.

          Also, MaxX Unlimited Doubles is no big deal if you can rape the bars from the center.

              I pretty much figured those walks out on my first go.
              I started getting into the habit of swivelling to face the centre when crossing between pads too. It seems to help a lot.
              And today I passed Max 300 on standard ^_^

                  Ehh, I'm not too coordinated (can't quite handle doubles on Standard, but I can bumble my way through almost everything on Light), but I've seen some amazing things done on doubles. Like our resident guru, Dave, who has AAAed Paranoia Eternal Heavy (after a LOT of whoring), TwinBee Heavy, and some other random stuff...I don't know if he's nailed Fantasy-Melissa yet, though, but I figure he probably has. Nowadays, however, nobody plays dance games in there anymore because the pads are shot to hell.

                      Double is really fun... I don't play it much because of the cost in the arcade and also the fact that I have very crappy pads... I can pass 8's and thats about it...

                          Actually today I just got another hard pad with the intention of learning to play doubles well! Before I had tried it in the arcades and could do some like 5 and 6 footers in standard alright. But I've been playing doubles today, and it's so much fun! I'd definitely recommend it for people are getting bored with the single pad.

                              Doubles kick the crap outta me....but i play only 8-footers on singles...wouldn't doubt that 4-footers on doubles could kick my butt hardcore

                                  A great song I used to learn doubles was HVAM light. It's fast enough to be challenging, but dosen't have a huge amount of jumps or 1/8ths. After that I moved onto So Deep Standard, which has a lot of triplets near the end, and a jump stream to finish it. I'm now doing easier Heavy songs, like Groove 2001 and Ecstasy.

                                      if you want a good song for doubles the try my summer love it is a good song on doubles.
                                      but my fav is freckles it is hard but fun
