    The Gamers

    Anyone seen this piece of comedic gold?

    It's a VERY low-budget short movie by an improv group chronicling these gamers who do a quest and also act out their characters.

    I just met someone who's seen it (the first person besides the people who showed it to me) and she's from freakin' Slovakia.

    It's hilarious, even if you're not into D&D.

          Heheh...my Uncle Chuck showed it to me and my brother once. To this day, I still crack up over the following quotes from the flick:

          "Called shot to the NUTS!"
          "My intelligence is FOUR? Gimme that pen."
          "My whole life is written here!"
          "You...fail."

          By the way, my Uncle Chuck (proper name Charles Modzinski, whose last name is pronounced mo-JIN-ski: it's a Polish thing) also happens to be considered one of the best Dungeon Masters in Michigan, with over 25 years of experience under his belt. So if you happen to be familiar with him, be aware that you're connected to me via the "six degrees of separation" rule. Scary thought, isn't it? :P

                      I don't approve, either, but I got it for cheaper through a gaming store. That aside, though, some things are just worth it. My friend paid sixteen bucks for the Rejected DVD and I say that's a fine purchase.

                      I would gladly pay thirty for The Gamers if I had to.
