    Ripping off the excited.

Just a half hour ago, I got called by my father who was driving home from work, and he told me that there was an XBox 360 being sold on EBay for $100 and the auction was ending in 40 minutes. Naturally, I thought, "WHAT?!" and booted up EBay to find it. Sure enough, there it is, with a new bid once a minute. It's the "XBox 360 Win Every Hour Party Package" (That's the Canadian 360-every-10-minutes), loaded with pictures of 360 and its merchandise.

Look at the listing for yourself (It's finished now, went for $410.00).

So I glance through it and go, "Oh man, I've got to buy this!" But then it occurred to me, "Hey, did it say it was including a game?" I check - nope. No game. So I inspect the list closely, and what do I find?

Here are the items that are included in this auction:

A Metal Carrying Case that will hold your Xbox or Xbox360
    1 Ballpoint contest Pen
    5 Coasters
    3 Xbox Pins
    10 Party Invitations
1 Electronic Promo Invitation CD for an Xbox 360 Party
1 Be First To Play T-Shirt (Large Size)
    Many assorted Pepsi coupons
With XBox and XBox 360 bolded in green print to make the too-excited-to-read-fanboy hop on a bid fast and recieve a metal case with random Pepsi crap in it in the mail. Wouldn't that be great? $410.00 on a box.

Back when we started entering the contest, me and my brother discussed going on EBay to sell an "PEPSI PROMOTION PEPSI XBOX 360 BOX FOR CHEAP!" should we win, as well as include "The printing on the box says:" underneath it to make it look authentic. Surely some dunce out there would bid before reading, right? We decided against it because it was unethical, but it looks like ethics come after money for a lot of people out there.

Not original, but still funny. There's a YTMND of the same thing but with a PSP, and probably other incidents. The winning bidders never pay, haha.
