"That's some, ahh... pretty gooood."
No one gets that quote but me.
Anyway
I had some hands-on time today. we got our demo unit at work set up today (Microsoft even gave us a sexy HDTV to go with it) and let me tell you now
Graphics are AMAZING.
Kameo didn't impress me too much, but then again, being able to render 12304981239828975389 enemies on screen without a hint of slowdown is pretty impressive. Call of Duty 2 looks better than I've seen it on any high-end PC, plus it was absolutely seemless, and the only other playable demo, King Kong, didn't look half shabby itself. And you know launch titles are never an indicator of what a system can do. Next year's wave of games should be impressive indeed.
One of the things that impressed me most was the controller. Here's a link in case you want to see it. Basically, take a Dual Shock, make it easier to grip, give it a good D-Pad then switch it with the left thumbstick, and you've got a 360 controller. It's pretty comfy.
Too bad I don't have $400 to shell out for one. Maybe as a Christmas gift to myself next year, after more games are out for it.
