Why are frozen dinners so complicated nowadays?

Basically I live off these things, as I am too lazy to cook anything.

But it used to be "peel back cover and microwave on HI for X minutes." Today I had a breakfast one and it was all like "peel back cover, remove sausages and pancakes, set aside, microwave for 2 minuntes. Add S and P and then microwave 3 more minutes.

I just want to be able to put it in and when I take it out I can EAT rather than do more.

compared to "put in microwave" it is. Besides I don't think I'll get those anymore. (1170 calories, basically half of it is fat. O wellz)

I didn't know hot pockets had breakfast fillings!!

Hot Pockets' how hackers get down.

Why not just make a bowl of cereal? Opening and tilting a box can't be terribly complicated.

Pop-Tarts: Put in microwave on HIGH for 3 seconds.

See, it only takes three seconds.

Yeah, but that involves opening a box AND packaging as well as getting a plate out.

And then there's the psychological ramifications.

duh cooking takes even more effort than microwaving. I think I'll take squeek's advice and just stick with pop-tarts.

I cook everything in the microwave. Not ramen noodles unless they're the cup kind though. I cook my toaster strudels, microwave dinners, poptarts, ravioli, spaghettios, old food from last night, and whatever else in the microwave. You're just lazy. Why not get up off the computer and make food. If you know even the tiniest shred about cooking, you can make something edible. Might not be tasteful but its still edible. If you are still skeptical about cooking, Just go get some MRI's.

Okay, I totally just put my Pop-Tarts in the microwave for three seconds and it did absolutely nothing to deliver me warm, delicious filling and frosty goodness. I think I'll sue.

I also love how the serving size is "1 Pastry", yet they package them in pairs. Way to get people to believe nutrition facts that are really only half of what they'll undoubtedly be eating.

Now, more importantly... seeing as a microwave is currently my only means of heating/cooking any sort of food, I am now looking for ways to use it to make food that would normally be cooked by other means (stove and oven, oh, how I miss you). Namely... pasta. I really want some, and I don't mean Easy Mac. I want some good stuff. It can't be that hard to boil noodles, right?

Anyone have any handy tips on this matter (pasta or otherwise)?
