Civil Rights activist Rosa Parks: Dead

Detroit, Michigan -- Civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks is dead.

Her refusal to give up her seat to a while man on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1955, resulted in her being jailed -- a defiant act that led to the bus boycott that many believe sparked the modern civil rights movement.

Her death was reported by the Detroit Free Press and television station WDIV. She most recently lived in Detroit.

None of the news reports i can find say, so im guessing its most likely natural causes. She was 92 years old.

Well, if she wasn't there to really start the movement for the freedom of blacks, then I don't know where we would be right now. For sure, there would be a lot less rap music... just kidding. RIP Rosa Parks.

Stairway to heaven? O hell no, she's takin' the elevator.

On the serious note, she was very nice and thoughtful.

                            WOW. Just... WOW.

I mean, I thought she died three years ago, but you thought that:
                            1. There were buses for her to keep a seat on a hundred years ago.
                            2. The civil rights movement occurred in the 1800s.
                            3. She was old enough for her to legally be a slave

                            American education, whoo!

                            Seriously, that's bad.

But anyway, she did a great thing and will be forever remembered in death for her great actions.

Do I respect her as a person, of course. Does she deserve the title as a spark plug, no.
