Edit: I actually like both, or at least, I loved The Used's first CD, but they sound and look like the same band. When MCR came out I was asking people if it was the guys from The Used playing some silly (and not funny) joke.
They were ok on their first album, but now every kid who's watched MTV once "absolutely loves them" even though they've heard like one song. So, whatev.
But then along came MTV thinking it was cool to pick random cool bands and displaying them on their network as something extremely cool that everyone should like.
But that's MTV's job, so I can't really start disliking music that I liked before just because they're popular now, that's stupid. Music is still music after the fact.
I personally like their music. Ghost of You is my favourite song.
They're really good live too. Gerard, (The lead singer), is quite the performer. And he has a really awesome beltbuckle.
So really...
Just because it's on MTV, now, there really isn't any reason to bash it.
I'm glad that the band got what they wanted. If they wouldn't have wanted to be known everywhere, then they wouldn't have given permission to MTV to be flashed across their screens 24/7.
I still like their music. Maybe not necisarrily their decision of going through MTV to get their music out there, but I enjoy their music bunches
I enjoy their music as well, although I never mention it, on account it will get you lynched around here.

"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor
I like their sound, but I don't like their lyrics. If I pay attention to what they're playing, and the notes they hit when they're singing, then I like them.
