How do you expect to improve then? Failing+End Song is how you learn to get better. It kinda makes you strive to get further n further into the song, soon enough being able to complete the song. Helps you practice your timing and accuracy, and basically you get better. It's boring when you fail yet continue to play because you're just prolly randomly hitting keys till the end.
