“The risk, of course, is that some viewers might not get the joke and believe that AIDS has become a casual, laughing matter,”
Obviously they didnt see that one South Park episode...
Funny how they suggest that it shows subtle homosexuality, but it only says "unprotected sex". Unprotected sex could suggest heterosexual sex as well, but they jumped to a different conclusion. I also don't see how the song is making fun of AIDS, when they're just trying to present it in a lighter, less You're-going-to-die-esque fashion.
Why did they target this instead of the Terminally Ill Children Stand-Up Routine?
Me: HAHAAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Uptight Wad-face: What is so funny?
Me: AIDS! HAHAHAHAHAA!
Uptight Wad-face: That isn't funny!
Me: Now you have it! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Why would people watch Family Guy not expecting to get offended?
I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.
