          im soo sick of FF songs. maybe its the fact ive played them all so ive heard the songs hundreds of times, but FF songs just arent very.. dancy.

              Maybe they're not so much in the dance style, but they are VERY steppable. Just listen to the first 10 seconds of FFX's battle theme, and you'll see what I mean.

              And no, Afro, it starts out at FFI battle, and I think it follows through to FFVIII battle, and after that it cuts out to a couple of songs I'm not sure about, until it hits the classic prelude at the end.

              I normally don't even think about playing midi songs, but this is interesting. I'd probably download it. Give it a shot.

                  Not only that, but every single stepfile I've EVER played for a Final Fantasy song has been terrible. Look at arch0wl's One Winged Angel, for example. It took him three tries and he STILL didn't get it right.

                              Its good, problem is that its a MIDI file. you have to convert it to wav/mp3 format. to do that you need a converter, which can be a pain to find, and also why i gave up on trying to bun MIDIs to CD.
                              The reaper is the happiest being of all, because death is plentiful in this realm....

                                  magnafiend it wouldn't be too hard to convert it to mp3 ala Goldwave, and there are programs such as Dent Du Midi that will split the midi tracks and export them as aiff files so that you can throw them into your favourite program and change the instrument

                                                      The song is steppable, but as said before there are a lot of FF sims. Secondly, while I am a big fan of FF, I don't think that I would want to play a stepfile for this song, because the song itself just kind of bores me. When I play a stepfile I want the song to be excellent, and old video game music never really has that effect on me.

                                                      If you want to find a song for a sim, try not to actually look for it, just kind of listen to your winamp playlist until all of the sudden you notice you're banging or tapping on the desk to a certain song.
