    Hitting all four keys at a time?

    There are some songs where I need to hit all four arrows at a time. I can do it physically, but my keyboard doesn't register all for arrow keys being pressed at the same time. I can, however hit all four on spread style (like 1290) so I know that I can hit 4 on other parts of the keyboard. It seems I can't hold all for down anywhere in a 4856 pattern. Wasd, ijkl, etc do not work either. Can someone please help me and try and fix this problem? I would most like to be able to hit all four on the arrow keys. Thanks.

    Get a new keyboard or throw away that stepfile. (preferably the latter)

      try turning off Num Lock. if that doesnt work, get a better keyboard that is able to hold and register at least 7 keys at a time like mine.

        I can hold SDF[space]JKL all at the same time.

        Just not 4 in a 4856 pattern. I can hold all four in a 4826 pattern though.

          There has to be one set of 4 arrows that you can hit at the same time. Open any program where you can type and hit the 4 keys you want to test. If all 4 letters show up at the exact same time they will work on SM.

            SM has a place to test it, it's called Test Input.

            I think I've tried all 4856 patterns and none of them work. I'll try again.

            There's one: ./[shift];

            I'm not using shift as my right arrow.

                I'm an index player so naturally i would ditch any 4 finger jumps, however technically its the keyboards problem, i use to have the same problem, and i bought a new keyboard, works fine now.

                  Yeah, my keyboard's screwed up too...it won't even register some 3 key combinations...but it registers others.
