Sorry if I sound blunt, but I'd think it'd be really REALLY retarded and probably corny aswell. Think of 10k commotion (http://www.10kcommotion.com) brought to life. If done properly, it could actually make a half decent anime... but still. I think it'd be really fucking corny. Beyblade is a good example:WHOAMG SPINNING TOPS. DDR would just make for watching people stomp their hearts out on a DDR machine, and some really annoying announcer going "WOW LOOK AT THAT FOOTWORK".

Crazy idea: We make a DDR movie in the action genre, and do close ups as one person slam kicks the other into the screen during a game while playing The Legend of Max or some other fast song. Oh, and we have detail the things that happen during the close ups like the electrical effects! LOL
But, it could be the subject of an anime. After all, Beyblade got its own show and the people there just spin tops.
