DDR Ultramix2 (Xbox) or DDR Extreme (PS2)

I cant decide on which pad I want to buy..some I'm just going to buy the game with the default pad a play for a bit before I buy a nicer pad. Now I have to decide whether or not to get the PS2 or Xbox version. The only reason I would get the Xbox version is because of Xbox Live and my friend is also buying an Xbox and DDR. Am I missing out on a lot of songs if I don't buy the Extreme version?

Is it just me or is Ultramix 2 really tough to find? EB Games doesn't have it listed and there aren't many Ultramix 2 auctions on E-bay. I'm not even sure my local EB will have it.

Mod your PS2 and import the japanese version of DDREX. It's better than ultramix 2 and US extreme combined, mainly because the timing is accurate and it has all the songs on Arcade releases of Extreme plus some PS2 exclusives.

Another friend of mine who has been playing DDR for a long time said the same. I will eventually import it once I have the cash (along with getting a nice pad), but for now, I'm going to go with the cheaper alternative to get me started.
