Well im not very good so i usually do standard. Anyways can u guys give me some tips so i cand do harder songs.

There are many different skill levels that are encompassed in the general term of "Standard." Do you do 5-footers, 6-footers, maybe something different? Nevertheless, I think there are a few you can try to get some things down:
Love <3 Shine -Standard (the ending is pretty tough, I'll admit, but this song is absolute FUN on any level!)
Candy <3 -Standard (good luck with the step-jump-step-jump part...there's even a forced crossover. Fun.)
Hold On Me -Heavy (don't be thrown by the Heavy...if you can do eighth streams and the occasional crossover, you can do this)Originally posted by thesunfan

You can see a crossover in the sticky section...and love shine is only for ultramix 2...candy is for max 1 and ultramix 1...and not 2 shure about hold on me.________________

Crossover is when you have to turn your body in order to hit a step. So for examplefirst of all wut is a crossover aand second r those songs in ddr max 2 for ps2?
2 = down arrow
4 = left arrow
6 = right arrow
8 = up arrow
A crossover is a pattern like 426. Hit the 4 with your left, the two with your right, and the 6 with your left. In order to hit the 6, you'd have to turn your body so that your side is facing the screen. That's a crossover.

Whatever you do...don't buy ddr extreme usa. The best version is ddr extreme japan. But in North America i prefer DDR Max 1.________________

Way to give information that can completely screw a person over, especially if he/she is a n00b. I agree that DDREX JP is infact the best of the mixes, but you won't be able to play it on your american PS2. If you're fortunate enough to have a japanese one (like meThe best version is ddr extreme japan. But in North America i prefer DDR Max 1.

Well I'm alittle above standard. I can only do a few heavy songs. I just prefer standard cuz there not too hard or too easy... lol
but if you where talking about controller wise, then i would be advanced heavy... lol im great at ddr on the controller. even though, the whole idea of it is the dance pad... lol
