    Any tournys in TX?

Hey, I don't know how else to find out, but does anyone know of any tournaments around the Dallas/Fort Worth area anytime soon?
Thought it would cool to sscheck it out and see how the pros do it.

Hmm never been there. Is it a good arcade? Only place I've seen dance dance at is Grapevine mills, they have a kick ass arcade there.

If you're in the DFW area, it depends on where exactly you are for the arcade. If you don't mind driving all over the place, here's a good run-down of places to go:

Animation Town in Irving Mall - DDR Extreme, Beatmania IIDX 8th Style, Keyboard Mania 2nd, Guitar Freaks 9th, DrumMania 8th, plenty of fighting games. DDR machine sucks since the sensors are 2 years old. All the other Bemani games are in perfect condition, and the owner keeps them that way. Some good people play there, but not often. Every Bemani game is 75 cents for 3 songs, except KBM which is 25 cents.

Valley View CyberZone -I've never been there, but they have the best machine there is, from what I've been told.

CyberZone at RSM - Good place, lots of people there, but from what I hear, pads suck incredibly.

Putt-Putt Hurst - DDR Extreme and USA. EX machine is in perfect condition, don't know about USA, but I'd assume it's still in good shape. Most of the best players play here. Cost is $1 for 3 songs. They also have a Time Crisis 3 machine.

Tilt at Parks Mall in Arlington - DDR Extreme. Possibly the best pads in the area, second to Valley View. Cost is $1 for 3 songs. Manager is rather rude, but the workers are all ddr players, so they're nice to the people who visit frequently.

Other locations around the area (off the top of my head):
Playerz Choice at Festival Bazzar in Arlington - DDR Extreme (75 cents for 3 songs), Pop'n Stage (50 cents for 3 songs) and a BM 4th that some license inspector made them shut off. If you have a lot of friends going, this is a pretty good place to just hang out, even if you think you're going to get mugged sometimes (which has happened to someone I know).
Arcade at North East Mall in Hurst - DDR Extreme ($1 for 3 songs)
Putt-Putt in South Arlington - $1.50 for 3 songs, pads suck incredibly. Don't go there if you can avoid it.

As for tournaments, none really planned at the moment. There's one that's being discussed with a friend of mine to be done at Main Event Fort Worth/Hulen. If you heard about the tourney at Putt-Putt Hurst a few weeks ago, he's the same guy that ran that one.

If you're looking for good players in the area, a few are Zack Pasi, Jason Hollaway, Chip something-that-I-can't-spell (look for C.SD on high score boards), Duy Do, Jimmy Patton, Robert something-that-I-don't-know, and probably a lot others I can't think of right now.

Yeah that Main Event location is pretty cool, some friends and I checked it out on Sunday. The place is brand spankin new so that would be perfect for a tourney. And there's a bar there, bonus
