Urban Lyrical Showdown Judges and Contestants Wanted!!!!

Hello boys and girls. Its your favorite Negro coming at you with a contest. Now as we all have seen from the Hip-Hop section of FFR, there are some good rap songs(i.e. The Essential) and there are the bad ones(i.e. everything else in the genre) But has anyone ever heard any of the FFR music makers themselves make an urban song? Now before you start clicking the Back buttons to go back to the forum listen to the rules.

    RULES

    1. Contestant must adhere to the guideline of the Hip-Hop conditions of each round.

    2. Each week is switched between the two focuses of Hip-Hop: Lyrics and Melody. For example on week, with Lyrics being the base, the Contestant must come up with their own lyrics and vocally put them to any melody they see fit.

    ^Deeper Explanation: See Bottom

    3. The conditions must be followed correctly and the contestant may use whatever means neccesary to make the music. However. during the Melody weeks, the contestant may SAMPLE at most 10 seconds of any Hip-Hop or Rap song to use as a stepping stone for the song. You may not use another artist's beat for the contest.

    4. Profanity Issue: In my opinion, a little profanity isn't an issue. but when it becomes a habit as in for example Crunk Juice, then you're stretching it.

    Melody and Lyrics Explanation:

Okay the weeks will play as as following: Melody weeks and Lyric weeks.

    Melody Weeks:

Melody weeks will have the contestants making their own 1:00-3:00 minute long Hip-Hop beat according to the contest guidelines. As said before you may Sample from another recording to use as a base beat but the restof the song must be done originally. Originality, Flavor, Uniqueness and Overall Feel to the song are factors to the Melody weeks.

    Lyric Weeks:

Personally, I'm more anxious about the Lyric weeks than the Melody weeks. The goal of the LWs are to have the contestants write thier own lyrics and actually perform to ANY Hip-Hop or Rap beat that has been made. If the contestant decides to use their Melody submission for the Lyric background beat go right ahead. However: the right to use the winning Melody song for the previous week directly goes to the contestant who made it. This person must either PM me or the other judges or post directly in this topic that they give permission for the other contestants to use that beat for the Lyric week. The first person to PM me and ask for the beat will recieve it. Simple? Yes people, you must use your own voice to do the actual rapping. Your lyrics follow a code of rules each week just like the Melody weeks. Please keep profanity to a minimum. Flow of the lyrics, usage of intelligent words and poetic patterns, and overall enjoyment of the song are judged. Song must be in the 1:00 - 2:30 minutes range.

While at first this seems like the Fruity Loops Remixing contest gone to the Ghetto, it's actually a chance to broaden everyones horizon to a different and sometimes intelligent form of music. I hope to expand everyone musical interests and see what every person could actually do with this genre of music.

So first things first: who would like to be Judges and who is participating in the contest itself? Judges PM me or post here and contestants sign up here.

Yea, that's ok, I can stay serious, it helps because I'm not jaded by 'good' rap and will be able to grade on what the general public would like...
