    This is really starting to get on my nerves.

    StepMania Is awesome and all, but it just CAN'T STOP FREEZING!
    A quarter of my harddrive is free space.
    I have NO applacations running, not even msn or my antivirus.
    I've tried reinstalling it 3 times.
    Can anyone tell me waht's happening and why It's freezing? Please?

      You're video card might not be up for it. I reccomend checking for the newest drivers for your video card, and if it still doesn't work properly, I'd say you have nothing else to do. Well, you could get a brand new video card, but I know most people wouldn't do that just for a game like Stepmania.

      Oh yea, you could also try Dance With Intensity, or DWI for short. DWI is a DDR simulator, like Stepmania, but it's not as packed with features. It is a lot easier on your video card. I'm not sure where to get it, but if you search the Dance With Intensity Forum here, you can probably find where to download it.

      And yes, I know this next part should be in a PM, but I don't feel like it.

              Yes. In SM, go to Options>Graphics Options. Select the "640" resolution.

                  What does "freezing" mean? Illegal operation, or it just isn't working at normal speed, or what?

                  Also, tell us what your computer specs are (processor, RAM, graphics card/chip), we might be able to identify one of those as a weakness.

                      Freezing as in it just stops and doesnt do anything.
                      My processor is 1.83 gigs, and my video card is 64 mb (Really craptacular, probably the rewason of all these...freezes...)
