RE: Cheats: Yay Or Nay?
Cheats should never be used under any circumstance.
The only time it doesn't really bother me is when the retards at Nintendo decide to leave certain things oout of the game*mewandpokemon* Seriously, those bastards have left something out of every Pokemon game since the beginning. Cheating for any other reason is just retarded in my opinion and I refuse to play games with people who arbitrarily cheat. For example, a person who used to live down the street would always want to play THPS2 with me. The only way he played was with the fly code or moon physics on. All of my other friends suck at Tony Hawk games too, so they always want perfect balance on. I hate that.
OK, I'm done ranting now.

RE: Cheats: Yay Or Nay?
It totally depends on the game. My general rule of thumb is multiplayer = no, single player = yes only if there is no other way to progress through the game. I can't remember ever using a gameshark or cheat code or stuff like that since I was like 12 or 13 though.Comment

RE: Cheats: Yay Or Nay?
Cheats, again, should only be used for fun and not against others in mutliplayer. Game shark and those other cheating softwares are for n00bs. GTA cheats are fun because it doesn't either way your having fun while progressing. Or after you beat the game may you use cheats to do stuff lolComment

If you suck too much to beat the game, then too bad. The only cheats I use are graphical manipulation for amusement.

RE: Cheats: Yay Or Nay?
i think that using cheats on multi player r ok if both agree but if u r playing each other in a competitive i can beat u game i think that they either both should use em or no one should. i think that using cheats on a game u can never ever beat in ur lifetime without cheats u can use them, and if u want to use em just for fun, like on gta which is the only reason the game is cool. without cheats for it i would throw it out. it also depends on how good u r or watever ur preference is. either way i think they should have cheats for games like gta but cheats would ruin a game like halo, which is why there is only one cheat for it and its not really a cheat. ok im doneComment

Re: RE: Cheats: Yay Or Nay?
Exactly the same as me, unless I can't beat a game.Originally posted by Freak83I always use the GTA cheats. Besides that, no.
EDIT: Never have used cheats in Multiplayer, and anyone who does should die. Especially Tasselfoot.

I don't like to use cheats, anytime, unless they're for graphical manipulation, like Wayfaerer said. An example: the first person mode in Tony Hawk 3.Comment

As much as my close friends will disagree, I cheat after I've beaten the game OR if the game is impossible to beat. No, I mean IMPOSSIBLE, OK? Meaning like Malcolm on the hardest difficulty. I want to see someone beat him without cheating because the fact is, you can't. I had a hard time on that guy on rookie.
I would agree that MMO games should remain cheat-free. Single-player games where nobody cares, it's a rule of thumb to beat the game first, then cheat. Tales of Symphonia made a perfect system where you spend "grade" you earned in the game when you complete it to buy "enhancements" to use your second time through. Luckily for me, I had enough to buy almost everything in the shop and MORE than enough to buy everything I wanted. Roughly 7,000 in the end.
But I will admit right here and now that I cheat quite often in video games. I cheated in UT2004 to beat Malcolm on the final level. I cheated in Sims 2 as soon as I got it because the game is retarded otherwise. I cheated in Animal Crossing after the second house upgrade because I didn't have the time or the patience to play the game for a year to collect everything. I cheated in every THPS game because it got boring and repetative after two levels.
Cheats are there to either help you when a game is far too hard, add in some enjoyment to a crappy game, or play it a second time through with some real fun stuff.

PS - Using the hover cheat in Ocarina of Time was awesome my second time through it. I got the Biggoron Sword in 2 minutes and endlessly fell about a dozen times when I went over the boundaries of the map.Comment
