    Socom 2: Greatest War Game Ever?

    I own and play Socom 2 : U.S Navy Seals, and i feel as if it is one of the best video games i hav ever played. The single-player is alright, but the online is where it's at. Very good game. How many of you play it, and if you do how do you thin it is.

    ps: i know this is an old game, so don't flame me about, i just want to hear some other opinions.

      Yeah, it's pretty good. Not the greatest war game ever, but it's good.

          I played Socom for a few months (3 or 4) and then beta tested Socom 2. I'm sorry, but Socom 2 sucks balls. I stopped playing after I popped someone in the chest with 3 assualt rifle bullets and they didn't die, but I did when he shot me once in the chest with a desert eagle. Socom 1 was such a better system..

              Well, think about it, a desert eagle is a .50 caliber pistol, so it should drop you in one shot, and yes, so what if it takes more then 3 shots to kill someone, that would make the game too easy, and since you only beta it, you can't give it a bad name. Socom 1 was a horrible system, cheaters everywhere.

                  If we're going for realism....

                  The NATO rounds from an assault rifle (assuming it's an M4/M16/comparable thing) would have an easier time killing someone. .50 cal just means it's a wider bullet, meaning that it has a higher force when hitting you at the same velocity, meaning that it would knock you back farther. Assault rifle rounds come out faster and are more pointed, meaning they'd cleave right through you. 3 to the chest would certainly kill you, maybe not right away, but it would AT LEAST keep you from firing your desert eagle at someone.
                  So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

                  In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

                  So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
                  And I write the blog for their website.

                  Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

                      Beta = Final. It was basically the same exact thing. I also, on Socom, just played clan wars and before there were cheaters. So I never had a problem with them.

                      Uhm, wouldn't that make it harder? Helloooo?

                      Anyway, Socom 1 was a better system because people dropped depending on where you hit them rather than how many bullets you put into them.

                          I meant it would make the game too easy if it only took three shots to kill someone, there not trying to be completey realistic, and if you like clan wars, the clan system is sooo much better on the 2nd one.

                              Socom is definetly not the best war based game..

                              There are tons of games that easily beat it on the PC.
