    FFR payable version?

ppl state that to get great songs everyone knows onto FFR most of the time there must be royalties, so why not make a payable version of FFR where all the big songs by the big artists go onto it and theres like a monthly fee or something. (dont flame plz this is my first post, i personally think it is a good idea) i read the noob stuff and didnt c nething quite like this. comments suggestions healthy critisism?

    RE: FFR payable version?

The ammount we would have to charge would be too much for the average teenager to pay.

alright, if i may i will post a vote to see the percentage of people willing to do this, and how much they are willing to pay. FFR is pretty damn popular as it is, i think we may be able to get enough people to pay the companies.

i don't think you understand... 1, putting up a poll is pointless, as you would need a credit card to pay for this service, and the majority of the members here aren't old enough to have them, so they wouldn't be able to make a decision themselves. therefore, they may want to have this feature, but their parents may say no. also, alot of people don't respond to polls.

2, the royalties could easily be 10,000+ so, to get 20 songs onto this payable version could definately run 200 grand, if not more. so... yes, it could be done over the course of a year or two... but Synth would need to aquire the rights to these songs upfront, and he just doesn't have the money for that, even with guarenteed re-payment over time.

3, i don't think nearly as many people as you think would pay for a special FFR. this point is opinion, but i'm fairly confident about it.

FFR is what it is today because it is free and has a great dedicated staff... Having people pay would drive more people away if you ask me.
