NEW AWESOME WAY TO FIND GAPS FOR SONGS

I JUST FOUND THIS OUT ROCK ON ME YEAH

    The secret?

    COOL EDIT!

People who already have photoshop and "the *stuff*" know what to do for this.

Otherwise if you want to stay legal there's a 30 day trial I think...

Once you have it installed right click on the timer (pretty hard to miss, to the right of play/stop/etc) and change it to decimal.

Then you can use the zoom in tool to find the EXACT spot where the song starts.

Little did I know untill now that gap goes by seconds SOOOO...

Lets say the part where you want to start starts at 6:609, that is 6 seconds and 60.9 milliseconds

    AKA THE GAP IS 6609

    This is AWESOME

I can get all my songs from now on PERFECTLY synced!!!!

Wow....I had kinda assumed you guys did something like that to find out the time............ Arch0wl...I was looking at my song in GoldWave (a similar program to Cool edit, but much.....COOLER) while I was talking to you yesterday 8) ! I use this stuff when I make music, so I'm quite familiar with it. I would suggest Goldwave. It's pretty much free legally. The demo is the full version but it just pops up the "Please buy" notice every time you open the program.

Wonderful Bite - New SGX Album! You can get it for free, yo!

You can't "do the math" when you're pinpointing a millisecond on your song

Really? Wow, what have I been doing?

It is a small pain, but whatever. I don't use stops much.

not much of a sim maker, but for what ive experimented with acid 4.0 is flawless in finding exact bpm and gap. i can synch songs perfectly, just too lazy to finish stepfiles.

No, acid sucks hardcore cock for finding the bpm. It only works if there actually IS a solid beat going in the background (ex: lsd)

It's better to do it manually.

                    Gap, I dunno.

that all depends on your natural sense of beat as well. the trick to the beat mapper is that its not easy to use, you have to tinker with it a shitload to actaully get it to work right. but once you do its a lifesaver.
